Actually the milkshakes are one of the only vegetarian foods there.
Beware, in the US their fries are NOT vegetarian, they have 'beef flavoring' on them, made from real cows.

I think dark skin is stunning! I'm not just saying that. I am very pale, and don't intend on going to an unhealthy tanning booth anytime soon. That said, I love darker skin. I think we are born with what we are born with. I had commented on a youtube video of Tyra and a model who was saying how she never felt pretty because she was dark. I pointed out in my comment that being white, although idealized by society over time, is not something to be valued anymore. Or, at least, it shouldn't be valued anymore. Skin color can't define a person. I pointed out how it sucks that we get moles, sun burns (bright red tomato skin( that peels), and turn pink from exercise. I think there are beautiful women in every ethnic group, and as i had said in response to Tyra's video, "the victorian era is over, so why are we still obsessed with pale skin." My point is that you are perfect just the way you are. It's like the blonde vs. brunette debate. There are blondes with prettier faces/ brunettes/ red heads/ black hair...etc. Finally, just a additional comment...my sister's best friend has stunning brown skin, and looks like a model. I think it's a shame that there are so many people who judge based on skin color when it's such a trivial topic.

Gelatin comes from animals, even fish...you have gelatin in your cartiledge, all animals do.
The good thing is that gelatin can also come from seaweed, such as Agar Agar which is pretty common in Asian cuisine.
Maybe start an email campaign to McDonalds to start using more vegetarian friendly product replacements.

I don't know off hand but you can check out McDonald's and a lot of other stuff at the Vegetarian Resource Group http://www.vrg.org
FYI--you didn't ask, but just so you know, McDonald's fries are *not* vegetarian. They inject beef flavor into them to give them that taste.
You're best off avoiding McD & BK.

The shake mix does not have Gelatin in it. But many products do have gelatin, look at product labels.
According to WIKI:
"Gelatin (from French gélatine) is a translucent, colourless, brittle, nearly tasteless solid substance, derived from the collagen inside animals' skin and bones."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelatin
...BUT....
If you care about animals you will not drink milk shakes. The milk cows have babies and the male cow babies are killed or put in veal crates THEN killed.

Have you considered making your own shakes. Generally anything homemade is better, especially coming from mcdonalds.

i higly doubt milk shakes have gelatin in them. Gelatin is what gives products such as nouget, jelly, jello, marshmellow and gummie bears its fluffy or squishy texture. mc d's milk shakes are not fluffy or gummy however i hate fast food.
