Yes you can eat peanut m&m's and rosted/salted almonds if your a vegetarian. You cant eat the m&m's if your vegan though.

Also if you are a vegetarian for ethical reasons, i wouldent eat the m&m's or any of mars brand candy. The Mars corperation tests (very inhumanely) on animals. Tests are for cafene levels. look here for more information.

the almonds are safe on all accounts!!

even though these M&Ms are called Dark chocolate, they still have milk, so beware if you don't drink milk:

Ingredients: Semisweet Chocolate (Chocolate, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Skim Milk, Peanuts, Lactose, Milkfat, Soy Lecithin, Artificial Flavors, Salt), Sugar, Peanuts, Cornstarch, Less Than 1%: Corn Syrup, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Dextrin, Coloring (Includes Blue 1 Lake, Yellow 6, Red 40 Lake, Yellow 5, Red 40, Blue 1, Blue 2 Lake, Yellow 6 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake, Blue 2), Gum Acacia, Soy Lecithin.

Yes! If you are avoiding insect-derived colors, then possibly no. I'm not sure what red dye M&Ms use, but it could be from an insect source.

Some candies/sweets contain animal products. Watch out for gelatin especially on the ingredient lists. Gelatin can come from vegetable sources, but is often an animal by-product. If the source is unclear, then it's your choice on eating them. Since it is a by-product, and no animals are killed for it specifically (I mean that it comes from animals who were killed for meat or leather- an animal does die, but not just for gelatin) some vegetarians aren't too strict about it, while others are.

Several other additives are animal derived. I don't agree with PETA's mission, but they do offer a list of candy that is entirely vegan. (Check my "source.") If you aren't avoiding dairy, eggs, honey, and insect-derived ingredients, you can eat a lot more candy than what's on the list.

No M&Ms are not vegetarian because they have a certain enzyme that makes them non vegetarian same for all mars chocolate.

Do not eat it!!! I have no idea why people keep telling you that they are safe for lacto-ovo-vegetarians(whatever kind you are). Get on google and search mars chocolate vegetarian and you will see that they are no longer safe for vegetarians because of the type of whey they use from overseas.

depends on what kind of vegetarian you are.

Lacto-ovo-vegetarian. Eats both dairy products and eggs. This is the most common type of vegetarian diet.

Lacto-vegetarian. Eats dairy products but not eggs.

Vegan. Does not eat dairy products, eggs, or any other animal product.

so typically, if your vegetarian and not vegan, you can eat your m&m's

They are suitable for vegetarians, but not vegans.

And yes, the nuts are both vegetarian and vegan.

No. Peanut M&M's contain carmine, which is red colour derived from insects (usually beetle blood).

Okay, the real question is, do you consume dairy/milk? If so, then yes you can have M&Ms. However if you don't and are vegan, then M&Ms are off limits. Dark chocolate M&Ms also have dairy/milk, so that's... pretty sad for vegans. Sunspire candies also have milk.

yes, if you go vegan I don't think you can though, b/c I think there is some milk in the chocolate and vegans can't eat dairy

I think they might be ok but if you are interested in animal suffering the company that makes them, Mars, funds tests on animals.

if your a vegertarian (a person who just doesnt eat meat...still eats dariy products and eggs) its fine to eat it. if your a vegan, someone who doesnt eat meat dariy products or eggs, you wont be able to. lol this is why im only a vegertarian, i need my chocolate!!

Yes, but you can't if you're a vegan.

How hard is that to understand? Honestly? Vegans don't eat dairy (that includes certain chocolates), seafood, meat or poultry while vegetarians don't eat meat, seafood or poultry and DO eat dairy products.
