Does anyone know if Quorn can be eaten raw? Like the chicken pieces you get, could you just put them in a salad or something uncooked? Or does it have to be cooked first?

All of the recipes given by that company that produces Quorn require it to be cooked, so I would say that it has to be cooked first.

One way that you could be sure is to contact them and ask.

You can do that here:

I really wouldn't - it has no taste - marinade the pieces yourself - soy sauce lime juice and fresh chilli works fab, then briefly fry till you get the required consistency, then let go cool and add to salad, or put in sandwiches with extra fillings. And definitely don't eat raw pre-packed Quorn meals, eg sausages, chicken pieces etc.

All Quorn products contain egg white so I wouldn't eat it raw.

once you cooked the Quorn it cooked the egg besides. you would be high quality. that is issues that are made with uncooked egg and eaten chilly which you will be able to desire to sidestep. do no longer devour homestead made mayonnaise, do no longer merely like the spoon once you have made muffins and make certain boiled eggs are no longer mushy.

alot of the quorn products have to be cooked e.g pies, ready meals but some doesn't have to be e.g quorn deli, slices, and pâté, if you want, go to there website for recipes and much more: http://www.quorn.co.uk/CMSPage.aspx

slodge....do you REALLY believe you can only get food poisoning from meat? Have you never heard of botulism?

And are you all aware that Quorn is not Vegan...it contains dairy proteins.
