Question:
I do not like eggs, most beans, or soy alternatives. Is it safe for me to still be vegetarian?

I'm interested in it but I don't know if can get the proper amount of protein. I only seem to be picky when it comes to protein. Is that strange? And are their other... other alternatives?

The list of vegetarian protein sources is endless.

http://www.veganhealth.org/articles/protein

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help you if you see proof that vegetarians have the same potential as anyone else.

If you need meat or dairy during any stage of your life or to live any certain lifestyle, why does the American Dietetic Association say otherwise?

Taking eggs, beans, and soy alternatives out of your diet will make it really hard to be a healthy vegetarian. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it'll be hard. You should talk to your doctor or a nutritionist about your diet and see if you're getting enough nutrients. For protein, just make sure you eat lots of nuts and dairy. Good luck!!!

Honestly? Not so sure. You're severely limiting your options with those preferences, but you can still get enough protein if you eat large amounts of nuts and seeds. Just be careful to monitor you intake to ensure that you get a good amount of other vitamins and nutrients as well.

No you need soya, because soya is the only thing other than meat or fish that has 'high biological value'. This is a food that contains the 10 essential ammino acids for health body growth and repair. However, you do not need beans. Tofu is not the only form of soya, there is tofu, soya products and quorn products. She could try incorporating soya milk into her diet or eating quorn replacements.

There's lots of protein in dark green veggies.. spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts etc. Yes it's safe for you to be a vegetarian! Tomatos have.. iron, acidic for digestion and protein too.. tomato is considered a fruit!

Vegans do it all the time.

It's a MYTH that it's hard to get Protein without animal flesh or by products.

Here's a great article on the subject by Dr. John McDougall

No, it's not safe. Because you can get proteins elsewhere but it won't be enough!
