i want to become a vegetarian. I love animals and I need to become healthier. The problem is i grew up eating meat every day. I eat meat all the time. I want to stop completely. I want to be healthy, skinny, and i love animals and i feel guilty eating meat sometimes. Can some one please give me a link to video that will traumatize me to never eat meat again. i really want ot stop. but i want to be a hardcore vegetarian. so a brutal video that will open my eyes to how bad meat eating really is and will make me stop eating it no matter what the case. thank you

I know how you feel. I have been a vegetarian for 3 years now after doing a report on PETA for my English class. Even to this day, I still occasionally miss meat, but there are many good substitutes out there that taste the same as the original, but they are often healthier than the original meat (an added bonus!). Going vegetarian/vegan is a great thing to do, not only are you improving your conscious and health, you are also saving innocent animals. Good job!

Well, there is Earthlings and Meet your meat. I think you can find both on Google Videos. You can also read Eating Animals.

However, remember to focus on the bright side of vegetarianism. You won't be a very happy vegetarian if you're only thinking about the meat industry and awful videos. Try lots of new, tasty dishes - there are lots of vegetarian and vegan food blogs on the internet. Good luck!

If anything will make someone go Veg it's the movie Earthlings. You can watch it for free online: http://www.earthlings.com/ (Click "WATCH NOW" and it's available near the bottom of the page.) Definitely one of the best Animal Rights documentaries ever made.

It's a rough watch for sure, but it will open your eyes. I watched it after being vegan for 3 years just so I could feel comfortable recommending it to people. It's made a lot of people "Go Veg".

Watch Food, Inc.

You can rent or buy it on iTunes... I watched it the other day and I literally can't bring myself to eat meat. It opens your eyes on things, takes you inside the slaughter houses, shows you how they treat the animals and it's heart wrenching. It makes you vegetarian instantly haha.

MEET YOUR MEAT.

Or a mexican meat market, that's what

caused me to stop. Becoming vegetarian

never even crossed my mind before then,

and I stopped eating meat on the spot.

I haven't had any cravings, and it was over

a year ago. I am disgusted by meat both

physically and emotionally.

Drive through Texas... haha, I had the same problem as you, then I drove through Texas, "The Cattle State" and saw a cattle ranch and cows/chickens on livestock trucks being carried to the slaughterhouse. It really made me lose my appetite for meat.

Also, here's a link: http://www.peta2.com/p2vsk2_flash/

I'm pretty against PETA but this is pretty persuading.

Hope this helps you!

I haven't found one yet.

I've seen "Food, Inc", "Meet Your Meat", "Earthlings", and various other videos produced by PETA and other such organizations.

It hasn't worked on me, but vegetarians/vegans keep trying.

Of course, this is based on their assumption that I don't know anything about the meat industry, and that I would immediately change my ways if only I knew the truth.

And that's not correct; I know, I just don't care.

But I'm certainly willing to watch any other videos that vegetarians/vegans think I HAVEN'T already seen, and I'll give it a view.

its good u want to see somthing like that

i read that the USDA was started because the president at the time was reading THE JUNGLE it was about the atrocities of the meat packing industry and he was reading the book at breakfast while eating a sausage and it flipped him out so he invented USDA.

This is a documentary called Earthlings, I watched it after hearing about it on the Ellen show. It's horrific, I couldn't finish it and went vegan straight after.

I think everyone should watch it and see exactly how animals are treated.

Girls are meant to be made of sugar & spice & every thing nice.

& not made of slaughtered animals.

I guess you're looking for a movie clip like this one:

that would just mean that you don't chase bums down for change. It's a biological reaction, bums are vegetarians.
