a book or two to have at my fingertips that includes plenty of "healthy snacks". Not just the modified cookies and brownies. My oldest child will be attending a school where we will need to share a healthy snack with the class approx. every six weeks (pre-pre-school). Do you like the Rachael Ray cookbook for kids? Thanks.

I had a betty crocker kid's cook book when I was younger. It was great, lots of different recipes, a couple of which I still make from time to time. I'm sure miss Crocker still has a kid's book, check it out. Or just check the cooking section of any good book store, there should be something there to get started.

i actually have two kids that we need to bring snacks for school. one is in pre-school, and one is in pre-pre-school.

i would recommend two rachael ray books. the first is rachel ray top 30 30-minutes meals and also her cooking rocks! book. they have some really great kid friendly recipes that are fairly easy to make.

if you are ever in a pinch, you can always run to your store and get juice boxes (100% juice) and annie’s organic bunnie's snacks (they are a bit healthier than cheeze-its)

hope this helps!

for as far as snacks go. This book is good for kids to cook. I wasn’t sure you wanted it for them to cook or for you to fix meals for kids.

Anyway, I would recommend the book either way, just to have and read and use!

Here is one link to get it:

I like Rachael Ray myself and I would get her book for kids, in fact I have been thinking about it myself for my daughter.

Here is another good one:

It is by Emeril, and he has a couple more I believe may be good.

Hope these help out a little. Sorry, but I am trying to hurry at the moment as I have to get offline or I would give you a couple more links.

I think your question may have ended up in the wrong category... But I'm a teen and I get my school lunch recipes from "Vegan Lunch Box". They're not only healthy, but just yummy recipes in general :)
