(AUS)

I read a while ago that their only vegan crust is the thin crust which i dislike..
Does anyone know as of late if their classic or deap pan crusts are vegan? the emulsifier is listed as 482 which i thought could be animal or vegetable derived?

Has anyone been in direct contact with dominos pizza (australia only) about what bases are suitable for vegans? and if anyone has their email contact details that'd be helpful!

An email response from dominos themselves:

Hi,

Thanks for your enquiry regarding our pizza bases. The only bases suitable for Vegans are Thin & Crispy, Puff and our new Gluten Free base. Our Classic and Deep Pan bases contain an emulsifier which is derived from lactic acid (sour milk).

Cheers,

Fiona

OK, so it seems that the crust can be vegan. What about the sauce? Most sauces contain natural flavors (which can be animal derived) or sugar (which can be processed using bone char) or even cheese. Anyone know for sure about the sauce?

I like this question by the way. Not that I would eat at Domino's often, but sometimes there is not a vegan friendly alternative available while traveling.

I'm not sure about Dominos BUT I ordered pizza from Eagle Boys when I was staying with a friend (she also works there) and I ordered a veggie pizza without any cheese. Eagle Boys crust is vegan-friendly :)

As far as I'm aware, the cheese used on the pizzas contains animal rennet. I'm not sure about the dough, however.

The cheese on the pizza itself should already tell you it isn't vegan

It's barely classified as food let alone vegan.

Let's think - pizza has cheese. NOT VEGAN.
