Rather than direct you to a bunch of websites where anyone and everyone can write whatever they want about vegetarianism, I would suggest going to the library.
It's easy to choose several books that will help you get started. You can check out cook books and peruse the recipes and ingredients commonly used. I think there's even a montly magazine about vegetarianism. Why not check it out? It's free and gets you away from the computer for a while.

My husband and I just became vegetarians a few weeks ago.
Definitely go the PETA website. (www.peta.org) If nothing else, they will make sure you never eat meat again! Watch some of the videos and look at the pictures. They also offer a vegetarian starter kit for free which gives you information on becoming a vegetarian.
You can also try www.goveg.com, and www.whfoods.org.
Let me thank you for wanting to become a vegetarian! It's better for the whole planet AND for your health.
If you have any questions, please email me!

Why? You won't be able to save the world if you become a vegetarian.

Yes, go to the PITA site. You will never be the same again. Seriously, meat makes me really sad!
