Conventional bread is baked, so therefore, is not raw. There are some bread-like items available that are labeled as raw, but they are not the bread most people are used to.

On a raw food diet, the best foods you can eat are big salads, home made fruit juices, fruits, nuts, seeds & oils.

Honestly, sticking to the basics is (in my opinion) best. When you eat fruits, try to eat one fruit at a time... for example only have bananas instead of mixing banana's and apples - its a lot easier on digestion. :)

Since one is considered a raw foodist if they consume 75% or more of their foods raw, yes, tofu can be eaten occasionally. Tofu, however, is cooked.

No. I think you should research "raw food diet" a bit more, so you understand the concept. Here's a definition for you:

"A raw foods diet consists of unprocessed raw vegan foods that have not been heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). "

Definition of tofu:

"Also known as soybean curd and bean curd, this custardlike white block is made from curdled soy milk. The process starts with soaked soybeans that are pureed (ground into a paste), cooked, and filtered through cloth. The resulting soy milk is curdled with a coagulant (substance that promotes thickening), such as magnesium chloride. The curds (solids) that form are pressed into soft cakes, allowing the whey (liquid portion) to drain off."

Tofu is a heat processed form of soy beans. Therefor, it is NOT considered raw.

Tofu falls in the cooked food rhelm.

The raw soy products would be things like miso, and Nama Shoyu (raw soy sauce)

according to this site, mios is raw

http://vegetarian.about.com/od/beverage1/qt/rawmyths.htm

it says "Seeds, nuts, nut "milks", sprouted grains, seaweeds and juices are all included on a raw diet, as well as some fermented and processed foods such as raw soy sauce, kimchee, miso, raw nut butters and cold pressed raw oils."

but I did find a site that tells how to make raw tofu (scroll down)

Of course it you are not 100% raw, you can include the commercial tofu in moderation

you might try making nut cheeses for a similar raw food though
