no that is not true
canned veggies contain nutrients
All canned and frozen vegetables are wholesome and nutritious, but they can differ in quality.
Under some circumstances, frozen and canned produce can be fresher than fresh, according to experts at the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR). The Institute urges the public to maintain consumption of vegetables and fruits throughout the winter months by integrating frozen and canned fruits and vegetables into the diet.
University of Illinois Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition has confirmed canned fruits and vegetables are nutritionally comparable to their fresh and frozen counterparts

Fresh veggies are always the best for you.
Depending on the type of canned veggies, some can be good for you if you prefer canned.
Look for organic and/jarred veggies which contain low or no sodium. (salt).

Yes. Canned vegetables lose their nutrients while they are being cooked. That happens when you use fresh or frozen also. You should actually steam fresh vegetables. That will give you the best benefits.

NO GOOD ON NUTRIENTS! VERY LITTLE/NONE! FROZEN IS MUCH BETTER ALMOST AND SOMETIMES BETTER THAN FRESH SINCE THEY ARE FROZEN RIGHT AFTER PICKING AND FRESH GET STORED IN COOL BINS UNTIL IT GOES TO THE STORES!

Better to go with fresh and frozen--too much salt in canned.
