Hello,I am planning to go to Thailand (Phuket-Krabi-Bangkok) for honeymoon in December 2nd week.
We are vegetarians (no egg, no fish,chicken,prawns,meat,..).
Please suggest if its a good idea to visit above places considering food habits.
How are the Indian food restaurants there? (taste, cost wise).
Please guide.

It is going to be hard, if not impossible to guarantee things are vegan. While they often use coconut milk, they also often use chicken broths to flavor vegetables when stir frying, and Southeast asia uses fish sauce and oyster sauce in most everything as a base for flavors (also it is on the table as a condiment, but it is already in the food).

Indian food is fine, nothing special. It is not Singapore or Malaysia if you know what I mean. Indian food costs the same as Thai food ($2 - $12 per person, depends on what you eat: on the street you can get lots for cheap, in a restaurant it costs from a bit more to regular prices you would have in America)

Indian food is available widely in Bangkok so feel free to step into one the moment you see one. All Indian restaurants have vegan/vegetarian options so you don't have to worry about that. Its just that in most restaurants they use too much oil/unhealthy oil/recycled oil. It is this excess oil in restaurant food which gives us Indians acidity and throat burn. They also tend to make the food very spicy to suit the Indian palate. Just let the waiter know that you would want the food to be mild tasting and to put the least amount of oil possible. In that way, you have vegetarian food which is not so unhealthy at the same time. Also, in case you're going to order vegan, let the waiter know that you don't want the following items in your food. Just don't say milk products since they interpret it as only milk(from experience).:

Milk

Butter

Curd

Ghee

Cheese

Raita

Cream.

Phi Phi Islands are in krabi yet they are able to be reached from Phuket. that would desire to be your quantity one trip spot with the aid of fact at evening you may occasion interior the bar scene there or relax on the sea coast for the duration of the day and its the main pleasing in all of Thailand. while you're quite quite into partying then Pattaya is the region to flow....Chiang Mai is stable in case you like a style of the genuine Thailand and not plenty touristy aspects...yet not something is larger then Phi Phi for my section. And p.s. please dont experience any elephants. Thats in simple terms propose to assist what they do to them to get them that way! you may visit an elephant sanctuary (like the fashionable one in chiang mai) the place you will see that the organic ones who arent slaves.

I had been to Phuket, It is not possible to find pure veg food. There are restaurants which serve veg and non veg Indian food a lot. But no one offers pure Veg food. Though you would find many hindi speaking restaurateurs, convincing you of brahmin chef preparing veg and non veg in different utensils, but no one is sure of mixing of utensils. Pure Veg food is a big NO.
