List as many things as you can think of that are vegan?

I have strongly been thinking about going vegan. (Since June)
I don't want to suddenly jump into it, because I may make myself sick, so I'm slowly going into it. I've given up eggs pretty much, and I'm working on cheese and milk.

But, it seems when I want to eat something, I can't because it wouldn't be considered vegan.

So, list as many things as you can think of that are vegan. Or aren't vegan, if so inclined. :-)

Vegan:

Grass, a Ceiling Fan, Mattress/Box Spring set, Dish Towels, Lettuce, Tomatoes.



Not Vegan:

Everything else that is tasty and delicious, but if you're vegan you can't eat it so I'd think twice....

Redwood's products are vegan. They are made from soya. These include: bacon, sausages, ham in different styles, pepperoni, chicken style pieces and nuggets. There are probably more. Also made from soya are Grassington's products. However, they are not all vegan but the ones that are are labelled as such. They do nuggets, burgers and meatballs at least. Sainsbury's label which of their products are vegan so you just need to check. They do vegan chocolate, pitta bread, tortillas, crisps, burgers, smoothies, soup, bread etc. Hovis bread is vegan. All Soya Alpro products are vegan which include milk, milkshake and different types of yoghurts. So Good products are made from soya. There are vegan alternatives to everything. Once you know what products are vegan it will be simple.

There is no need to gradually reduce the amount of animal products you consume because it won't make you ill. You wouldn't do that if you wanted to cut out bread. All the nutrients your body needs can be found in fruits, vegetables and soya products so there is no need to take vitamin tablets.

You can still eat all the meals you would normally eat but replace the meat with a soya alternative eg. Spaghetti bolognese, use soya mince; burger and chips, use a soya/vegetable burger.

Alot of supermarkets have a free-from section so have a look there. But, this section also includes free-from wheat or other products and might not all be vegan. You can also e-mail superkmarkets and ask for a list of there own brand products that are vegan.

The important thing is to read the label and if in doubt, leave it out.

It would take far too long to list everything. The problem is processed foods, which as so often made with animal fats, gelatin, enzymes, crushed bugs, etc.



People above who've said such ridiculous things like "nothing but tofu" and the like are sad, and have no clue what is out there.



Of course you can eat veggies, fruit, bread, pasta, beans, nut seeds. There are millions of combinations, like Indian food, medeteranian food, hundreds of different salads. Little Caesar's pizza crust and sauce are vegan, so you can have pizza without the cheese. There's soups, and desserts (chocolate is vegan! it's the milk in candy bars that's not) Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Stir fry over rice. Sushi (veggie, of course) Funnel cake.



I could go on and on, but I don't have that much time. Look at vegan cookbooks. The hardest part is learning what to look for on labels (there are so many names animal products go by) but once you get the hang of it you're good.

Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes (beans, lentils), and whole grains. Eat whole, natural foods as often as possible--they are healthier than processed foods.

Things you can eat as a vegan:

-Whole oat cereal with almond milk

-Soy yogurt over berries

-Potato pancakes with bell peppers and onions

-Hummus and veggies in a whole wheat pita

-Peanut butter and bananas on whole wheat bread

-Veggie medley with veggies cooked in olive oil and garlic with tomatoes and chickpeas

-Whole grain pasta with pasta sauce, bell peppers, and zucchini

-Bean burritos with veggies

-Couscous tacos with veggies

-Stir fry with brown rice, soy sauce, and veggies

-Cheeseless veggie pizza

-Potatoes with olive oil and broccoli



Buy some vegan substitutes for milk like soy, rice, almond, hemp, or oat milk to replace milk in recipes. There is soy cheese if you ever get the craving and you can find some at health food stores. Nutritional yeast, which can also be found at health food stores, is a good source of B-12 for vegans and can be added to macaroni dishes, pasta, potatoes, and more and it gives the dish a cheesy texture and taste.



The only reason you would get sick by jumping into veganism is if you don't know how to be a healthy vegan. Just research vegan nutrition, buy healthy food, and leap into your new vegan lifestyle!

We'll anything that doesn't have animal products and most want things all natural and organically grow but if you think about it... if you don't use fertilizers and pesticides you use cow manure and that animal product right so technically you cant eat it of course you can never be shore but it's hard to grow food without fertilized soil and if you cant use fertilizers then you use animal product and its kinda expensive to buy orange oil. so animal product it is.

Vegan - Tofu and Plastic. Oh wait, you can't even eat plastic, so for the rest of your life you will eat flavorless tofu. Don't go to the evil protesting vegan life. Eat beef jerky, milk, cheese, eggs, steak, bacon, ham and anything. If you are not vegan, you can eat anything you want.
