I have a bowl of this jelly next to me and just wanted to make sure...

On the box it says that it includes gelatine. Is this gelatine from an animal or natural source?

It doesn't say suitable for vegetarians so i'm not sure.

Can anyone help me?

Thank You!

No, it is`nt. Gelatine is derived from 28% bovine hides, 27% bones , 44%pig skin and 1% other (whatever that may be).

http://www.veggiestuff.com/acatalog/just_wholefoods_strawberry_jelly_crystals.html is a link to buy a vegan alternative (only 85p a packet, too!).

No it is not! Gelatine is crushed animal bones and arteries. Definitely not vegetarian, unless you simply don't like the taste of meat. You can buy jelly crystals or powder that you mix with water to make vegetarian jelly. Look in any supermarket - but make sure the packet says 'suitable for vegetarians'. Jelly cubes are never veggie.

Gelatine comes from the bones and hooves of animals and therefore is really not suitable for vegetarians.

As long as the producers don't put anything gelantious in it from a meat product. Now most gelatins (Jell-o) is made from the meat gelatin. Then one would need to purchase a kosher gelatin. You're asking about jelly and jams. There are no animal products in the making of those products.
