what are vulgar names for people who eat meat?

Im a vegetarian, and i dont have anything against people who eat meat, but im doing an article on teen vegetarianism. I want to know from outsiders, who do have something against those group of people, what do you call them and how you feel about them eating meat :)

People who eat meat are generally called omnivores (the name given to animals that can eat both meat and veg) - but that's not an insult - just a fact.



You can't call a meat eating human a carnivore - humans are not carnivores, we are omnivores. Animals like lions and tigers are carnivores because they can only eat meat - they cannot physically digest vegetable matter.



I couldn't care less what anyone thinks about my eating habbits - it's none of their business.

Why are you looking for a VULGAR name for THOSE GROUPS OF PEOPLE?? Seriously?



I am not a vegetarian....have a lot of friends who are, though, and have never been called a name because I eat meat. Now, I agree with the post about those that say they are vegetarians but eat fish and other products. I never understood that but don't care because it doesn't concern me. Just like trying to put a VULGAR label on someone because they eat meat?!



If you are doing an article on teen vegetarianism then how about trying to find something positive that focuses solely on that instead of trying to find VULGAR names for those who aren't?



And yes, this is not a site for vegetarians.....it is a forum about vegetarianism.



Good Luck on your article and focus on the positive! There are enough BAD and VULGAR labels on people in this world already........it only fuels hate.......so stay away from it. Be proud of what you are and don't waste time looking for something nasty to write about others.

Why would you want to propagate such negativity? Besides, just because you don't eat meat doesn't mean your food isn't any less bloody. Unless you are growing your own food and using your own poop as fertilizer, dead animals have likely been the main source of nutrients for your veggie burgers.

I prefer bloodmouths however it is not vulgar it is just true and there is really no denying it. When you eat the flesh of somebody they have blood and you eat with your mouth so, bloodmouth.



I have a lot against people who use or abuse animals for any purpose. Just as someone might have a lot against the KKK or Nazis or child rapists. I don't feel like slavery and abuse is ever a good thing or something that is justifiable. Just like racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, ageism...is wrong and not really justifiable so is speciesism because it is the exact same thing played out usually in the worst ways imaginable.

I have nothing against most people who eat meat, but the people who really piss me off are pescetarians who call themselves vegetarians. SINCE WHEN HAS FISH NOT BEEN AN ANIMAL??? I don't think these names would be considered “vulgar”, but I call them picky omnivores (ooh, they hate it when I say that) and fakegetarians (they so desperately want a label).

I feel negatively toward them and don't understand why they hang out here. This should be our safe space as vegetarians and they disrespect it daily. In real life they tell me how our teeth were meant to eat meat and how I eat poor little plants. Bullshit.
